* REVIEW * - Hasty Resolution by Sam Taylor Mullens

Reviewer : Kaylene
Rating : 4 Stars

Enjoyable read with an intriguing storyline ...

Hasty Resolution is the story of Jake a US Marine with PTSD.  He abducts Liz from her life and as the story progresses you start to see what is going through Jake’s mind and why he is the way he is.  It is a little dark on Jake’s side and has many levels and makes you realize just what these brave men and women of the military go through.  So what starts out as a kidnapping  (which you soon discover that Jake is remorseful)  turns into a chance meeting.  They share a connection that they didn’t expect and they didn’t really want it to end as they heal each other.

The character development was good and the story was unique.  Some parts were a little repetitive and the story seemed to move a little quickly in the beginning.  I’m afraid that Liz seemed a little too selfish and perhaps even a bit shallow for my liking but its fiction and it’s always good to remember that fact.

I liked the story and would recommend it to others.  I rate this book four stars and hope to read more from this author in the future.

Jake, a US Marine, has been on a nonstop roller coaster ride in the Middle East for over a decade. While on a medical leave seeking help for PTSD he snaps and abducts a woman thinking it will be the remedy plaguing his thoughts. The woman, Liz, witnesses his hallucinations, night terrors and anxieties and quickly becomes sympathetic to his plight. A relationship between the two begins to flourish.
