was given an ARC of this book in exchange for and honest review
Alluring Turmoil is aptly
named because the relationship between Jude and Lexi starts out very messed
up. Jude was missing from Lexi’s world
for 8 years after he broke her heart.
Then one day he appears in her coffee shop. Jude is the only man she’s ever loved and he
broke her. Then they find each other
again and the steamy romance begins. This book was great and I really love a
“rock star” romance. I certainly fell in
love with Jude in this book, he was hot, sexy and his POV was really written
well. This book switches POV between
Lexi and Jude and I found this refreshing.
I have read books with switching POV before and sometimes it can be quite
confusing but not in this book, it worked great.
This
is book one in a series of books which will explore the other band members of
Bayou Stix (Jessie, Liam, Cruze and Dade), and it seems each will have their own
book.
One
of the things missing was the paparazzi and any sort of body guards for someone
so big in the music industry he seemed to be able to move around easily with not
much interruption by fans. For some
reason I found this a bit unbelievable.
There were a lot of repeated words and sentences, with some grammatical
and spelling issues but mostly I found the story flowed quite
well.
This
book is good, I enjoyed it for the most part and it is well worth the read. Well done Skye Turner on a great “rock star”
romance.
